Vasiliki is all about giving today’s women the opportunity to explore their own concept of luxury, and to connect with their memories, dreams, and love of finery. Linking the past with the present is key in these dress’s creation; indeed, Sahar’s earliest memories were marked by gazing at coloured cloth piled high at market stalls, the ever-growing collection of style magazines she amassed in childhood, and from eagerly learning from her mother’s extensive experience and innate talent. Her early explorations into design as a young girl soon led her to know – with no doubt in her mind whatsoever – that her future lay in this world of texture, colour, shape, and beauty.
Her dream and inescapable drive led her to London, where she immersed herself in that city’s endless history and approach to style. During her studies, days were spent losing herself among London’s myriad boutiques and luxury department stores, where she’d collect ideas and concepts later reimagined for her own creations.
Today, Sahar Zohair is a wife and a new mother, and the path she has taken led her to immerse herself fully in a lifelong dream. All of those moments of discovery – those gathered ideas which stretch back to her earliest years – have led to the founding of Vasiliki. These are dresses which ripple with confidence, class, and romance; which consistently feature Sahar’s trademark approach of unexpected details, innovative silhouettes, and playful references to times long passed.
